Starting out as a conversation between two friends who had recently reconnected after many years, Pinar and Huijun have been documenting their conversations about life and their art-making practices since December 2024. These audio recordings and conversation transcripts serve as the basis for the artists’ research about the nature and material of conversations.

As much as reunion as a residency, the open studios is a work-in-progress presentation of the artists’ organic collaboration process. Creating a game of re-configuring their past conversations, the artists attempt to broaden personal exchanges into open materials which carry the potential to involve a wider audience.
